Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has received 31 bids from nine consortia to develop seven sections of the Colaba-Bandra-Seepz corridor and seven consortia have emerged as L1 bidders. Larsen & Toubro (in partnership with Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co) emerged the lowest bidder for two sections (Cuffe Parade to Flora Fountain and Marol to Seepz) of the 33.5-km corridor. Bidders for the other sections include consortia led by HCC (CST to Mumbai Central section), J Kumar (Dharavi to the domestic airport and the domestic airport to the international one), ITD Cementation (Siddhivinayak to Mahim) and Soma (Mumbai Central to Mahim section).
