Leader in Vertical Reach Equipment
Considering a major shift from conventional and unsafe builder hoists to safer and reliable hoists, Spartan has been at the forefront to ban the unsafe builder hoists from the beginning. With its rich experience in manufacturing hoists, Spartan offers various models of passenger and material hoists. The recently launched passenger and material hoists series are branded by 'Aviator'. The weight carrying capacity varies from 500 kg to 2 tonne. These machines are used at both medium and high-rise structures. Spartan's multi-functional hoists replace tower cranes for rebar lifting applications. Spartan's multi-functional hoists have a rebar carrying attachment, which carries rebars measuring 12 m. Spartan also plans to manufacture twin-cage hoists next year, which is currently at design stage.

Spartan has always believed and delivered the best designs when it comes to construction equipment, not only in the aesthetics but also design as in durability, ruggedness and performance. Spartan boasts of around 30 in-house design professionals and is well equipped with all the necessary design software and tools like SolidWorks. Each machine is manufactured after rigorous design stage, to match international standards. FEA analysis is carried out well in advance while designing, where machines are tested at various heights, at adverse climatic conditions through software. This gives a near to actual performance of the machine even before manufacturing. Each machine is designed considering its application, site conditions, safety, convenience, ease of operation etc.

Safety is of paramount importance in equipment working at heights. Spartan's hoists come with centrifugal safety device, which is activated by centrifugal force and stops the hoist in case it exceeds a specific speed limit. Control panel in hoist is one of the most advanced features of Spartan range of hoists. It is provided with flash light for easy visibility, joystick for easy operation and emergency switches. The PLC functions cover a lot of indicators like VFD trip, limit switch failure, phase failure exit door, open entry door, rack search fault etc. The higher/premium models also has a display screen, where the actual fault would be displayed for easy identification and repair. It is placed at a strategic position which would be easily viewed by the operator. These machines also come with mechanical lock and electrical sensors in critical areas like entry/exit door, trap door, erection platform etc. This ensures hoist does not start if any door is left open. Overload alarm indicator is also provided as an option. All these safety features make Spartan's hoists more reliable and competitive.

Spartan's role doesn't end at just selling the machines. Rather it starts after selling the machines. The company believes in training the operator for the right use, application and performance of the machine. So the company regularly conducts training programmes after the machine is sold. Spartan follows the principle of 'Train the Trainer'. Its training staff is specialised and well-trained in advance before he trains the customers' team. The company's specialised team trains the operator on the efficient usage, application, maintenance and repair.

Spartan is expecting positive growth from high-rise constructions which is gaining prominence not only in metros but also in tier-II cities, which also opens new growth avenues. The company will be focusing on expanding its reach to these areas as well by expanding dealership networks. With eight branch offices, the company is also focusing on its export business. Spartan has a dealer each in Dubai and Sri Lanka and are getting good responses.
