A Liebherr MK 110 mobile construction crane on a two-month hire from Singapore's heavy lift specialist Hiap Tong Corporation is undertaking all lift duties throughout construction of a difficult to access four-storey factory extension at Tuas Avenue 10. The factory is being developed by Oilfield Services & Supplies Pte Ltd and is located behind the existing two-storey premises. Tuas, at the far western end of Singapore, is one of the island's main industrial zones. The MK 110 crane is working at its full height of 33 m under hook with the horizontal jib using its full jib length of 52m and the telescopic section fully extended. As needed, the jib can be 'luffed' to 15?, 30? or 45? in order to increase the hook height further. Hiap Tong added the MK 110 to its existing fleet of Liebherr cranes because the machine offers the combination of mobile crane mobility with the versatility of a tower crane.
