LiuGong India Opens New Manufacturing Plant in Pithampur
LiuGong India recently inaugurated its new manufacturing facility at its Pithampur campus in Madhya Pradesh, strengthening the company’s local production capabilities and its commitment to the Make in India initiative.

The facility was inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav in the presence of government representatives, infrastructure developers, customers, channel partners, industry leaders and LiuGong’s global management team.

The new plant is equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies and modern production systems. It will support LiuGong’s growing demand from the infrastructure, mining, road construction and material-handling sectors while expanding the company’s manufacturing base in India.

Speaking at the event, Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s growing role in attracting industrial investments and promoting manufacturing-led development. He also acknowledged LiuGong’s efforts to support sustainable and green-energy solutions.

The inauguration featured a display of more than 100 LiuGong machines, including excavators, wheel loaders, motor graders, compactors, skid-steer loaders, mining equipment, aerial work platforms and material-handling solutions. The company also showcased its expanding range of electric construction equipment.

A synchronised machine ramp walk demonstrated the performance, productivity, fuel efficiency, operator comfort and technological capabilities of LiuGong’s latest equipment under simulated job-site conditions.

LiuGong’s senior leadership outlined the company’s localisation strategy, manufacturing expansion plans and long-term vision for the Indian market. The company said it would continue developing equipment suited to Indian operating conditions.

The facility is expected to promote localisation, generate employment opportunities and strengthen India’s construction equipment manufacturing ecosystem. It will also support the country’s growing investments in highways, railways, mining, urban infrastructure, ports, renewable energy and industrial development.
