Maharashtra CM offers quick approvals for industry projects

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in a meeting with industrialists assured that the state government would give quick approvals for new projects and extended all the required support till the commissioning of the project. During the meeting, the Chief Minister called for ‘Made in Maharashtra’ drive like on the national level there is ‘Make in India’ mission.

The meeting was organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) through video conferencing. Leading industrialists like Harsh Goenka, Jamshyd Godrej and Naushad Forbes were part of the meeting along with the Maharashtra Industry Minister, Subhash Desai.

The Maharashtra Government has already signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with foreign companies for investments worth Rs 161 billion in Maharashtra. The Chief Minister hailed the decision of these companies to invest in Maharashtra in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic scenario.
