Man of measure
Born and bred in Satara, he did well in studies, elocution, sports and other activities and left once he was ten years old to go to England to finish his schooling there. Later he went on to graduate in Agri-science from the College of Agriculture, Pune, for agriculture and farming was always his first love.
Farrokh Cooper is well respected in business and political circles. He is a success story in the export business and so far the company has exported goods worth approximately pounds 175 million. He has had long- lasting relationships with all his customers, associates and employees where there are cases of three generations of the same family working at Cooper and more than 200 people who have worked there for more than 25 years.
The pressures of earlier difficult times have moulded Farrokh into a very sensitive person towards the not-so-well-off. His readiness to support worthy causes in education, society and religious activities speaks volumes. Being an agriculturist at heart, he is close to nature and appreciates its manifestations in various forms. He is a good judge of humans and a kind soft heart employer. He has grown his business to 500 per cent in the past ten years. He has dreams and willingness to invest with a large heart. A great leader also is a motivator, Farrokh has nurtured his team and gives them freedom in day- to- day working. He focuses on strategic issues. High customer orientation is another value Farrokh seems to have imbued in his team. His aim is to make this town even more prosperous and put it on the map as an industrial hub for diesel engines, vehicles, engine components, and yes beer and spirits.
