Mann+Hummel registers double-digit growth
In the first six months of 2011 Mann+Hummel benefited from a healthy world economy and compared to the previous year increased the company group turnover by approximately 20 per cent to 1.2 billion euros. At the same time the result (EBIT) developed satisfactorily. "This means we are now significantly closer to our strategic aim of increasing turnover to 3.4 billion euros by 2018", explained Alfred Weber, Chief Executive Officer. "We have developed especially well in our home region of Europe and in Asia. There are risks associated with the long term economic outlook such as an economic recession, currency instability and higher commodity prices. These will slow down economic growth in the second half of 2011. But all in all we expect to record a satisfactory result this year." Mann+Hummel supports the planned growth with a number of new developments, some of which the company will present at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt motor show. The new products are in line with the fair motto "Future comes as standard" and make a contribution towards sustainable mobility with conservation of resources.
