The new National Mineral Exploration Policy (NMEP) approved by the Union cabinet is expected to boost private investment in the country?s mineral exploration sector. It is aimed at attracting both domestic and foreign mining companies in exploration jobs. The policy will pave the way for competitive bidding of prospective mineral blocks through the process of e-auction.
