NTPC Ltd is eyeing seven coal-based power plants with a combined capacity of 2,000 MW for acquisition. NTPC Chairman and Managing Director Arup Road Chowdhury has said, they are looking at acquiring those coal based power assets wherein the power purchase agreement and coal linkage is already in place. The funding is planned through 70 per cent debt and equity.
