Navantia buys Cometto MSPE trailers
The Spanish company Navantia SA recently received nine modular combinations of self-propelled MSPE 48 t trailers from specialist Cometto. This adds up to a total of 46 axle lines. The supply includes five six-axle modules type MSPE 6/4/2,43 48t, four four-axles modules type MSPE 4/2/2,43 48 t and two power packs with an output of 368 kW each (equipped with the new Scania engine). According to the company, besides the impressive payload capacity, this self-propelled trailer excels thanks to the versatility in configuration and its manoeuvrability. The MSPE 48t also offers the best compromise between platform dimension, load performance and investment, the company says.

One single six-axle MSPE module can reach a gross weight of 288 t. The MSPE from Cometto offers the usual interchangeability and system expandability to adapt to any future needs of the customer. For Simone Ricca, Cometto?s Product Manager, ?The flexibility of Cometto allows specific solutions, also with regard to the tyres. These modules are equipped with solid rubber tyres as requested from the customer, assuring the highest payload capacity and an excellent safety-factor.?

The two 368 kW power packs are equipped with the first Scania engines that have been delivered after the recent partnership between Cometto and the Swedish automotive industry manufacturer. Each of them comes with the necessary kits for coupling and distance connection. This gives the customer all the possibilities to form lifting platforms of any dimension and shape, according to the specific cargo requirements.
