Unlike conventional guards which may bend or break easily, the robust design of the SKIL circular saw 5500's lower guard ensures it will maintain its integrity even when dropped on hard ground. The stamped metal foot plate of this circular saw is similarly designed with rough cutting applications in mind to provide extra stability and durability to the tool. An integrated auxiliary handle provides extra comfort and optimum sawing guidance control. Lock-off switch allows users to operate the switch from either side of the handle.
