Manitowoc Encore facility in Pune repaired an MCi 85 A Potain tower crane, after it suffered structural damage from 150 km/h winds during a cyclonic storm in Gurgaon, India. The 5 tonne capacity MCi 85 A owned by Arabtech Construction got damaged while working on the Raheja Revanta project, a 56 storey building. To carry out the repair work, the MCi 85 A was transported 1,465 km from Gurgaon to Pune. At the Encore facility, structural repairs to the crane?s mast and cage, cathead, cabin, hoist winch and control panels were carried out. Also, 50 m of jib parts and the counter jib assembly were replaced. Following the repair work, the Potain MCi 85 A was put back to work.
