The bC India 2014 at Greater Noida was held under a lot of uncertainties and hopes. There was a new government at the Centre which was yet to come out with its policies. The banks were under a lot of pressure due to NPAs and customers were under huge stress due to rising interest rates. The shadow of global slowdown continued to affect things but more than that was the problem of blocked projects and policy paralysis. Consequently, there was a slowdown in equipment industry. Today, we have seen the new policies of the government unfolding and the large projects have been unblocked. However, the fund scenario continues to be bleak with rising NPAs of banks and very high interest rates. The demonetisation has added another temporary dimension to the issue. Going forward by 3-6 months, I expect banks to be flush with funds and interest rates to start falling with effect from January 2017. A development-friendly government and availability of lower cost credit from banks should fuel a fairly strong growth in the industry. Thus I believe that today, the equipment industry is at the threshold of a major growth story after March 2017.

At Bauma
For the Bauma Conexpo India 2016, we would like to showcase the major products that we offer to the construction equipment manufacturers.
