Odisha CM announces Rs 155 cr package for Balasore

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced various developmental projects worth Rs 155 crore in the first phase for the all round development of Balasore Municipality area. The projects included development of the Sahadevkhunta bus stand for the convenience of passengers at a cost of Rs eight crore, six laning and street lighting of the main road from Tumuliagate flyover to station square and development of all main roads of the Balasore Municipality at a cost of Rs 70 crore.

A multipurpose indoor hall, swimming pool will also be constructed for the development of talent of sportspersons at a cost of Rs 14 crore and provision for imparting high level training to sports persons will be made.

Chief Minister’s office sources said the protection and beautification of the Budhabalanga river embankment at a cost of Rs 53 crore would be undertaken and the river banks of the Budhabalanga will be developed for the entertainment of the people of Balasore.
