Tell us about the range of boom pumps offered by Putzmeister.
Putzmeister offers a wide range of concrete pumps starting from 20m boom pump to the world?s largest working boom pump of 70 m. In India, we offer the complete range of pumps up to 42 m. Moreover, both the R and Z fold boom are used on our 42 m pumps. The range in India is limited to 42 m due to the non-availability of higher capacity trucks and limitations in road regulations.

Brief us on couple of India-specific projects where the boom placer has been used.

The flexible boom-turning reaches concrete to the farthest point in complicated structures. They have also been used in upgradation of various airports all across India like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. Putzmeister boom pumps are being used in practically all major constructions sites, whether it is a road project, mass housing project, hydropower, nuclear power, LNG tanks or thermal power plants.

What is the scenario in India with regard to specialists in concrete pumping?
High-rise pumping, long distance pumping, and high-grade concreting are some of specialised pumping applications which need expert support from the OEMs. Putzmeister has a Concrete Project Division (CPD) across the world, including India, to support such needs. Putzmeister also has a special team in India to handle these projects. Some of the prestigious projects executed by Putzmeister CPD are the Delhi Metro 750m in a tunnel, 1.2 km in a Bhilangana Hydro Power, a 2 km distance in the hydro tunnel in Sikkim, and 278 m vertical pumping in a chimney at Talwandi Sabo.
