As the Managing Director at Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt Ltd (HCEIL), Ki Young Kong is responsible for HCEIL?s operations. Earlier, as Director, Sales and Marketing, Kong was involved in setting up the Pune plant, from procuring land, initiating construction to setting up sales, dealer and finance network, besides formalising strategy to grow the excavator business in India. Under his able leadership, Hyundai today has a market share of 17 per cent in just four years since inception.

Before joining HCEIL, Kong was instrumental in setting up dealer networks and taking the business to a new level during his seven-year term in the US. He started his professional career with Hyundai and continues to be with the company till date. He is a keen golfer with a Mercedes Gold Golf Champions Trophy (2010) to his name.
