Infraserve Global was recently launched as a separate brand. Could you tell us more about the company and its journey?

Infraserve Global is part of the Gainwell Group, which has an 82-year legacy in the construction equipment sector through Caterpillar dealership, TAL cranes and other product lines. The allied business was earlier operated from the Pune facility, but it has now been separated into a dedicated company called Infraserve Global.

The brand was officially launched at bauma CONEXPO India, marking a new phase for the company as we expand our portfolio of specialised solutions for construction equipment and road maintenance applications.

What are the key products and solutions showcased by Infraserve Global at bauma CONEXPO India?

Infraserve Global currently handles the Linhoff and Lintec portfolio of asphalt batching plants and concrete batching plants, Etnyre road repair machines, Augertalk attachments and ISG-branded pumps. We are also looking at adding more products to our portfolio going forward.

We operate through a dealership network across India, with 15 dealers currently, and we are planning to expand this network to 25 dealers. At bauma India, we launched three products from the Etnyre family – Road Saver, Asphalt Distributor and Mastic Kettle – along with ISG-branded pumps for the Indian market.

Road maintenance is becoming an important focus area in India. How do you see the opportunity for these solutions?

India has been developing roads at a rapid pace for more than two decades. However, road maintenance has continued to remain a challenge. New technologies in this segment can help improve road quality and reduce issues such as potholes and wear and tear.

We are working closely with organisations such as MoRTH and NHAI to understand how these technologies can be implemented across India and contribute towards better motorable roads.

How do these products support the transition towards cleaner technologies?

Sustainability is an important strength of our products. For example, we have refurbished plants that are more than 25 years old, demonstrating the extended lifecycle and sustainability potential of these machines. Some Linhoff and Lintec plants that were supplied earlier have been refurbished after decades of operation.

The Etnyre products we are manufacturing in India use the same technology that is deployed in the US market. We are targeting around 80 per cent localisation, with the remaining components being imported.

For road maintenance applications, our solutions replace conventional manual processes that often involve higher pollution levels. These machines help reduce pollution, minimise wear and tear and create less disturbance to the surrounding environment.

What role will government policies and contractors play in the adoption of road maintenance technologies?

These products will primarily be adopted through the market rather than being directly purchased by government agencies. Government bodies such as MoRTH and NHAI will play an important role in developing policies and frameworks, while contractors and end users will drive adoption of these technologies.

Can you tell us about the engineering and R&D capabilities behind these products?

Etnyre is a 125-year-old US-based company, while Linhoff represents German technology. We receive engineering support and technical expertise from these partners.

At the same time, ISG has developed its own products, including pumps, based on customer surveys, market understanding and the experience of our internal team. By combining technology partnerships with our own engineering capabilities, we are developing solutions relevant to Indian market requirements.

Where do you see Infraserve Global in the next five years?

Our vision is to become the go-to enterprise for customers looking for solutions in construction equipment and road maintenance. Whenever a customer thinks about a requirement in these areas, the first name that should come to mind is ISG, Infraserve Global.
