RoadHog adds G5HD road planer to model lineup
RoadHog is now offering the G5HD skid steer cold planer, a lower-cost, more flexible alternative than dedicated milling machines, according to the company. The model features a Fairfield 7HBX planetary coupled to a Sauer M44 piston motor. It has a 0-to-8 inch cutting depth, 3/4-inch chassis and housing plate, a 1.5-inch walled cutting drum, and a five-inch tooth clearance for reduced drag. The unit’s overall weight is an average of 20 per cent higher than the company’s standard model, which RoadHog says helps reduce vibration, improve productivity and extend component life.
