Rolls-Royce Power Systems awards best suppliers
Rolls-Royce Power Systems has recognised its best suppliers for the year 2016 by presenting its Supplier Awards. The awards have been made for the last eleven years and are available in five categories to suppliers who provide the highest standards of quality and performance.

The majority of this year?s award winners had already achieved the honour several times before. Miba Gleitlager from Austria received the prize for Best Supplier of Finished Parts for the third time. The Heunisch foundry from Bad Windsheim supplies large iron castings and casings for Series 2000 and 4000 engines. Previous winners in 2011, the company repeated its achievement this year as Best Supplier of Unfinished Parts. This year?s Best Achiever Award went to Poppe + Potthoff GmbH in recognition of outstanding increases in quality performance. Based in the German town of Werther, the company supplies high-pressure rails and lines for Series 1600 and 2000. ?Their innovative ideas provide valuable support,? said Alexander Dangel, Vice-President, Purchasing, at Rolls-Royce Power Systems.

?This year, our Supplier Awards once again give us the opportunity to express our appreciation of the outstanding performance, partnership and cooperation that our suppliers provide,? said Dangel. Award winners are selected from a total of around 1,000 suppliers on the basis of criteria covering quality, cost, consistency of supply, commitment to environmental protection and integrity. All suppliers receive regular feedback on their performance in the various categories involved
