SDLG India Announces Rs 1,500 Crore Investment Plan
SDLG India has announced plans to invest approximately Rs 1,500 crore in India to expand its manufacturing footprint, strengthen localisation and support long-term growth in the construction equipment market. As part of the investment roadmap, the company has invested Rs 300 crore in a new manufacturing plant in Gujarat, which will have the capacity to produce up to 3,000 units annually in a phased manner.
The new facility will manufacture key construction equipment categories, including wheel loaders, excavators and electric vehicles (EVs). The development is aimed at increasing local production, expanding sourcing from Indian suppliers and building a stronger domestic supply chain.
SDLG India has also introduced 10 new construction equipment products across diesel and electric excavators, wheel loaders and motor graders. The launches include machines with upgraded hydraulics, improved operator controls and enhanced safety features, along with electric equipment designed for sustainable applications.

The expansion of SDLG India’s dealer network and related activities is expected to support around 2,500 indirect employment opportunities in India. The company aims to strengthen its presence in the infrastructure, construction and mining sectors through increased manufacturing capabilities and deeper localisation.
