Sany Group bags JNPT contract for E-RTG cranes
Sany Group has signed a contract today with the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) for design, manufacture and supply of 15 numbers of Electrically-operated Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (E-RTGCs). The contract was signed at the Maritime India Summit 2016 in Mumbai between Deepak Garg, CEO of Sany India and A J Lokhande, Chief Manager, Mechanical & Electrical and Port Planning & Development, JNPT, in the presence of Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, Anil Diggikar, Chairman, JNPT and Neeraj Bansal, Deputy Chairman, JNPT.

The E-RTGCs come with best-in-class technology, efficiency and performance and will further enable JNPT in developing their port to match the evolving needs of port logistics industry. This new batch of E-RTGCs from Sany will modernise the existing fleet, catering to increasing traffic at the JNPT.
