Shantui Construction Machinery (Middle East) has announced a deal worth $18 million with a customer in the Middle East. According to the company, the sale of 205 units is the largest concluded by the company in the Middle East. The order comprises products such as bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders and forklifts. Best known in China for its bulldozers, Shantui has constantly been developing its technologies with the ?desert conditions? of the Middle East in mind, according to the company.

The power trains and hydraulics on machinery such as the SD32D and SD42D bulldozers, as well as specific Shantui excavators and wheel loaders, are designed to operate in harsh desert sands and in high ambient temperatures. The dozers come off the production line specified for the Middle East conditions.
