Shell Lubricants hosts Energy Efficiency Summit 2017
Shell Lubricants and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) under the aegis of the Energy Efficiency Council along with Godrej GBC, organised the 16th edition of ?Energy Efficiency Summit?, International Conference and Exposition. The three-day summit, held from August 30 to September 1, 2017 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), focused on energy saving solutions, trends, innovations, case studies, and success stories in energy efficiency across the Indian industry. Industry leaders, Shell and CII led the discussions on renewable energy generation, technologies and upgradation of performance for thermal power plants, pulp and paper sector and the sugar industry. The summit highlighted the importance of using energy-efficient lubricants across factories and plants nationwide to result in savings.
The summit also felicitated companies for their excellent contribution in energy sector under the 18th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management 2017. To name a few, Bajaj Auto Ltd (Waluj, Aurangabad), Ambuja Cements Ltd unit and ACC Ltd were awarded under the Automobile, Engineering and the Cement categories, respectively.
Mansi Tripathy, Country Head of Shell Lubricants India Cluster said, ?The lubricants industry holds key significance in the business operations of its allied industries and it is necessary for sectors to perceive the contribution of lubricants as an enabler of efficient macro operations. Sectors such as pulp and paper, thermal power and sugar are important for the economy. We are hence trying to create an ecosystem and dialogue with industry stakeholders to help them understand total cost of ownership and the connection between lubricants and energy efficiency. We are and will continue to be a trusted partner in their journey to achieve the same.?
