Naidu's Infracon Pvt Ltd, a Mumbai-based infrastructure development company, doing excavation and earthmoving jobs, continues to increase its fleet by adding world-class excavator from Kobelco Construction Equipment India Pvt Ltd (KCEI). Recently, the company has bought a Kobelco hydraulic excavator Generation 10 SK220XDLC-10 at a recent key handing over ceremony held at the site of Dosti Realty in Wadala, Mumbai.
'We are always happy with the working performance of Kobelco machines. This year when we thought of upgrading our inventory, we didn't have to think much before choosing Kobelco,' says K Sukesh Naidu, Director, Naidu's Infracon Pvt Ltd, who selected the excavator in person.
The new excavator was handed over by KCEI and Suretech team. Providing an outline of the unique features, Danny D'souza, Marketing Manager, Suretech Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, said, 'The SK220XDLC-10 Generation 10 is an extremely powerful excavator in terms of structure, productivity and benefit to the customers. XD stands for 'Extreme Duty' which is built to withstand the toughest of conditions in India.
Kobelco Generation 10 excavator is developed along six key parameters which are the most critical from the user's perspective: higher fuel economy, more reliability, better performance, greater comfort, easier maintenance, and environment-friendly. D'souza confirms, 'Kobelco now offers the newly improved SK220XDLC-10, the upgraded version of 210, with the revolutionary hydraulics technology - 'Arm Regeneration System', as a result, the SK220XDLC-10 delivers a high-powered output and is 19 per cent more fuel efficient than the earlier model.' Thus, the tag line 'Power Meets Efficiency'.'
The structures' material thickness has been enhanced by 15 to 50 per cent, to give much more life and strength, the manufacturer claims. This reliability has been vastly improved by the design, use of heavier plates and more effective filtration systems. There is a new under-body cover to prevent any damage to the components from stones or boulders.
K Babu Naidu, Chairman and Managing Director, Naidu's Infracon Pvt Ltd, adds, 'We wanted to bring in higher productivity, speed and economical solutions to our clients. At the same time, we don't want to compromise on safety. We are certain to see this value added with the new machines. We have challenging projects, where the soil and the conditions are tough, and we are very much sure this machine will deliver as per our expectations.'
SK220XDLC-10 is touted to be the most reliable excavator in the industry. According Sandeep Navshinde, Associate General Manager, KCEI, reliable means product should work for a longer period as compared to normal and should give the value for return. He adds, 'We have made our machine structure stronger than the earlier model SK210, mainly the boom plates, arm plates, bucket and undercarriage, which increase the overall life of the machine. Performance wise, our new SK220 delivers the highest power in its class, in mining, excavation or earthwork, it will give maximum productivity.
Says Navshinde, 'A few things a customer looks into while buying equipment for his/her earth work or for mining include product specification, service support, availability of spare parts and service points. Kobelco has emerged as a preferred partner for outshining in all this.'
Today, KCEI has 28 dealers and over 150 outlets across India to support the customers. The company has spare parts and service station across the country at every 150 km.
The Mumbai-based Suretech Infrastructure is one such dealer of KCEI and has struck this deal. D'souza adds, 'Fuel efficiency and productivity are the two major factors driving the excavator market in India. After-sales support is also a critical area, as a customer cannot afford the slightest of breakdown of a machine. Kobelco excavators have proven their performance over the years and SK220XDLC-10 is likely to set new benchmarks.'
