Tata Hitachi Opens New Warehouse at Kharagpur Plant
Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Private Limited has inaugurated a new warehouse at its Kharagpur manufacturing facility in West Bengal, strengthening its supply chain capabilities and enhancing customer support across India.
The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Hiroshi Hosokawa, President – Spare Parts & Service Business Unit and Executive Officer, along with Sandeep Singh, Managing Director, Tata Hitachi, and senior leadership members of the company.
The new warehouse is designed to improve warehousing and inventory management capabilities by enabling efficient handling, storage and movement of critical parts and components. The facility will support faster availability of spare parts, streamline supply chain operations and help minimise equipment downtime for customers.
Highlighting the role of aftermarket support, Hiroshi Hosokawa emphasised the importance of a strong parts and service ecosystem in ensuring machine performance throughout the equipment lifecycle. The new warehouse further strengthens Tata Hitachi’s focus on building a responsive and efficient customer support network.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep Singh, Managing Director, Tata Hitachi, said that the company’s responsibility extends beyond equipment sales, with timely availability of parts and services playing a crucial role in customer productivity.
The new warehouse reinforces Tata Hitachi’s efforts to build a stronger and more agile supply chain while supporting sustained business growth and improved customer experience.
Tata Hitachi is a joint venture between Tata Motors and Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM), with a manufacturing presence in Dharwad and Kharagpur. The company operates a nationwide network of over 275 customer-facing touchpoints and offers a portfolio including excavators, backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, dump trucks, attachments, parts and service solutions.
