Terex Raises the Bar
Demonstrating its commitment to Indian infrastructure development, Terex in India has launched its new world renowned products - the TL 210 wheel loader and PT 200 mini dumper.

TL 210, equipped with the 160 hp BS III Cummins engine, is an absolute and powerful loading equipment that offers a wide range of loading functions in varied loading applications based on user industry requirements. The best stability and great lifting power are provided by its transversely installed engine. The unique Terex? SP kinematics provide for powerful operation in all bucket positions. The TL210 is an extremely cost-effective wheel loader thanks to its hydrostatic drive, exclusive cooling system with reversing blower and load-sensing hydraulics.

Oscillating rear axle provides stable operation on uneven ground while maintaining 4-wheel traction for greater operator comfort and control. With bucket capacity ranging from 2.0 to 3.5 cu m, it has a tremendous tipping load (articulated) of 7,600 kg. This enables the machine greatly to cut down lead times while undertaking loading-hauling-unloading-applications at various points at the job site. TL 210 is expected to meet the ever-rising requirements of the user industry and establish itself as a benchmark product to match.

Terex? site dumper PT 200 can handle the most difficult operating conditions and the toughest of operators, thanks to its robust design. This site dumper delivers exceptional power when needed and can access the narrowest of construction sites. Equipped with powerful and fuel efficient 24 hp Mitsubishi engine, it has a maximum payload capacity of 2 T, making it one of the best in its class. The front-end tipping of PT 200 enables the driver to unload the material at its exact location. It is effectively used to carry concrete and other building materials such as sand, stone chips, and bricks in locations where large machines find it difficult to operate.

Vijay Sharma, Executive Director, TEPL, says, "Terex has used a unique innovative process to develop insight and understand better the needs and preferences of the Indian customers and the end users of our products. Apart from the existing product portfolio, our new products - TL 210 wheel loader and PT 200 site dumper will go a long way in setting the benchmark for operational efficiency and low cost of maintenance. Our new products are going to enhance our reach in Indian market and help us in offering end-to-end solutions to the end users."

Terex Equipment is a relatively young company that started manufacturing backhoes in 2004 from its 35-acre state-of-the-art facility at Greater Noida, as a 50:50 joint venture between Terex Corporation, USA, having an annual turnover of over $6 billion, and Vectra, UK. In March 2010, Terex hiked its share to 99 per cent in the joint venture bringing in new technical and systems upgradation into the young yet thriving organisation.

Today, Terex is one of the well known earthmoving equipment manufacturers in India, having a loyal customer base for backhoe loaders and skid steer loaders. Terex has sold nearly 6000 backhoes in the country so far, which are serving some of the best known organisations in building, construction and mining industries. Terex products are acknowledged to be highly productive and reliable, and the company has earned a reputation of working closely with its customers. The company has 50 committed dealers across the nation and in neighbouring countries. Terex dealers sell, service and provide parts round the clock through a work force of over 600 trained engineers and technicians.

Product Range

Terex has a constant focus on delivering reliability and economy in fuel consumption and maintenance, at a level substantially better than the competition. The new range of backhoe loaders - TLB 740S with 76 hp Kirloskar engine and TLB 844S with 90 hp Kirloskar engine - is a result of continuous upgradation in innovation and technology. These machines perform faster while digging and loading at lower operating costs, with durability through quality and technology innovation. Highlights of this product are fuel efficiency through unique Smart UC Hydraulics. These products have been developed in India for Indian market from application and maintenance points of view.

In compact loaders, Terex offers Heman 175, which is the only indigenously developed and manufactured skid steer loader in India. This machine, which is equipped with 60 hp Simpson engine and has more than 50 standard attachments, is more like an engineering marvel. It is known for its compactness, manoeuverability, versatility and ease of maintenance. With its wide range of attachments, it can perform in the most demanding conditions and can be termed as perfect profit earning tool.

Further enhancing its product offering to Indian customers, Terex has recently introduced the RL 4000 Light Towers, which address the requirement of construction houses and builders to work efficiently even during night time. With advance features like powerful 4,000 W of output from metal halide lamps, which is enough to illuminate 8 acre of work site, 360o tower rotation and 30 ft tower height at full extension, this machine is suitable for all kinds of illumination needs of our customers.
