In July 2011, we achieved an important milestone by successfully commissioning 40 dumper weighing systems at West Bokaro colliery of Tata Steel, thereby contributing to the company's mine automation. All the systems have been integrated to the Mine GPS net work. This will help in optimising the distribution of dumper fleet within the mine. This is an ideal instrument for open cast mines deploying rigid dump trucks for monitoring productivity, to prevent over loading of dumpers, to optimise distribution of dumpers within the mine-as proper distribution of fleet in the mine cuts down on unproductive waiting period.

According to Ravichandran, the company's on-board weighing systems provide economical solutions for wheel loaders, forklifts and dumpers to prevent over loading and speed up the loading process, to know the exact production for each machine and to optimise the vehicle loads and deployment.
