RK Agarwal, Director-Sales, Continental India, comes with rich industry experience of over 38 years. A BTech in mechanical engineering, Agarwal has taken up many challenging projects during his tenure. These include setting up East Africa market (in 1981), re-organising UP sale to gain 30 per cent market share (1982), entry into Australian market (1986), visit to Continental Achen Germany to start passenger radial import business (1996), restarting of plant and tyre business (2008), and integration with Continental Standards and Process (2011).

He has been a consistent performer with appreciation of ?Best Performance Letter? from the Chairman of the company, and ?Reorganisation success? appreciation of the Managing Director.

In 1975, Agarwal started with the assignment of supporting sale in the tyre market. He then moved to institutional sales starting the vertical from scratch. He handled marketing & communication and market surveys, started export business with East African countries in 1981, took charge of UP Zone as Divisional Manager in 1982. It was quite challenging but rewarding experience while working in UP. In between, he set up business with Australia. He was General Manager of North and South Division. Agarwal became Head Sales & Marketing after Continental took over the manufacturing plant of truck tyres in 2011, and integrated the organisation with Continental standards and process as ?Make Market? project. He introduced truck radial tyres to the market in 2013 as seed marketing through import of tyres. Agarwal launched and started sales network of truck radials manufactured in India from Q1 of 2014.
