Trident introduces non-directional traction boom lift tyre pattern
Trident specialises in the design, development and supply of application-specific industrial tyres for construction and material handling equipment. The range includes solid, pneumatic and foam-filled tyres for forklifts, skid steer loaders, telehandlers, boom lifts and wheel loaders.

Most boom lift tyres currently available are in R4 traction, directional pattern. As boom lifts have a 360-degree swing, there is no defined forward and reverse direction. In fact, machines have decals showing that machines can be used in either direction.

Directional tyres when frequently used in reverse will exhibit faster wear and are prone to vibration. Trident’s patented SSK-04, high traction, non-directional traction pattern provides even wear irrespective of the direction of motion, uniform performance in all directions of motion with reduced vibration.

These tyres also eliminate the need for left and right SKU reducing inventory for OEM’s and end users alike.

As most pneumatic boom lift tyres are foam filled with polyurethane, the inner tyre profile has been optimized to reduce the consumption of polyurethane tyre fill resin thus reducing the material intensity of petroleum products.

Sizes available are 315/55D20, 355/55D625, 15-625 and 18-625. These are also available as ready-to-fit foam-filled tyre and wheel assemblies in black and non-marking.
