VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) recorded sales of 5,906 units in January 2019 as compared to 6,801 units in January 2018, recording a decline of 13.2 per cent. This includes 5,808 units of Eicher brand and 98 units of Volvo brand. Eicher branded trucks and buses have recorded sales of 5,808 units in January 2019 (YTD 56,929 units) as compared to 6,712 units in January 2018 (LYTD 48,836 units), representing a decline of 13.5 per cent (YTD growth at 16.6 per cent). In the domestic CV market, Eicher branded trucks and buses have recorded sales of 5,177 units in January 2019 (YTD 49,066 units) as compared to 6,010 units in January 2018 (LYTD 42,113 units) representing a decline of 13.9 per cent (YTD growth at 16.5 per cent). On the exports front, Eicher branded trucks and buses have recorded sales of 631 units in January 2019 (YTD 7,863 units) as compared to 702 units in January 2018 (LYTD 6,723 units), representing a decline of 10.1 per cent (YTD growth at 17 per cent). Volvo Trucks has recorded sales of 98 units in January 2019 (YTD 935 units) as compared to 89 units in January 2018 (LYTD 796 units), representing a growth of 10.1 per cent (YTD growth at 17.5 per cent).
