Volvo CE strengthens presence
Seizing upon the oppor?tunity to broaden its presence and its share of the rapidly developing market of Indonesia, Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) is strengthening its posi?tion in Indonesia by appointing PT Indotruck Utama (ITU) as its second authorised dealer.Operating in Indonesia since 1988, the newly appointed com?pany will work alongside PT Intraco Penta Tbk (INTA), Volvo CE?s Indonesian dealer for the past 29 years. The appointment is part of Volvo CE?s plan to expand its presence in Indonesia while taking advantage of Indonesia?s curr?ent economic gro?wth, a strong second quarter saw the cou?ntry?s gross domestic product expand by 2.9 percent over the previous quarter, and the World Bank has forecasted 6.2 percent overall economic gro?wth there this year. With two high-performing and well esta?blished partners in Indonesia, Volvo CE will be able to offer custo?mers unpre??ce?dented acc?ess to its pro?ducts and servi?ces across the country. In order to better serve custo?mers, the two dea?lers will divide the market, with ITU handling Sumatra, Java, Nusa Tenggara and Papua and INTA covering Kalima?ntan, Sulawesi and Maluku. ?With the pheno?menal market growth occurring in Indonesia right now, we believe the time is right to expand our service across the country,? says Derrick Sim, President Director of PT Volvo Indonesia.
