Our core competency and strength is our product quality, dedicated human resource, dealers' network throughout India, value for money and after sales support. We believe in total customer satisfaction, says Neeraj Gaur, Managing Director, Fine Equipment. Excerpts from the interview.

How do you assess the changing trends in using a variety of attachments?
The demand for other attachments will grow as there will be a shortage of manpower and the need to finish jobs faster. Working conditions and safety issues will also create a demand.

What is the total market for rock breakers in terms of value and units?
The total market of rock breakers in India is approximately more than 5,000 units and around Rs 600 crore, out of which we control about 10-12 per cent of the market.

How do you envisage the growth potential in this fiscal?
We sold more than 500 units in the last financial year and expect to see similar sale figures though we are trying hard to raise
that figure.

Brief us on the range offered in rock breakers and its design features and advantages?
We offer 4-tonne to 50-tonne rock breakers, suitable for all excavators. The unique combination of features makes our product different in the market. We use high quality materials which increase the life of components; we provide reliable products at reasonable prices and offer genuine spare parts, along with the world class after sales support.

What about your range of attachments meant for demolition activities?
We have a complete range of crushers, cutters, and pulverisers. This market is not growing very fast but in the future, we may see a growth.

How do you look at the competition in the area of quick couplers?
We have competition but no competition when it comes to the quality we offer. Our couplers are manufactured by the best manufacturers in the world, Miller International, and they are offered with our consistent after sales support.

Tell us about your dealer network and services.
Fine has a very wide dealer's network; we cover all of India. Our dealers have a very highly qualified sales and service team which are trained by us; also, dealers carry genuine spares parts.

Are there any plans for a new range or new products, other than breakers?
Yes, we have light construction equipment in mind; tamping rammer, plate compactor, vibrator, concrete cutter, power trowel, pendulum concrete vibrator, handy vibrator and many more. We are working on new products and very soon will launch it in
the market.

What is your take on the increasing competition and what make Fine Equipment stand apart?
Competition has always been there. It is survival of the fittest. Whoever gives the customer best value for money and consistent after sales support, stays ahead. We are continuously improving our products and services to give the customer the best. Fine stands apart due to very high product quality, complemented by an unmatched after sales support and a history of over a decade of happy and satisfied customers.
