Infrastructure sector is one of the key drivers for Indian economy and also constitutes primary market for construction machinery. This sector is mainly responsible for propelling India's overall development and enjoys prime focus from government for policy initiatives. Present proposal to upgrade the infrastructure with time-bound creation of world-class road and port network under the flagship Bharath Mala project will create strong demand for construction machinery. There is a sustained effort by the Government of India to improve and enhance the border roads network. We anticipate a strong growth for machinery like graders, loaders, small dozers and among other products used in road construction projects.

Challenges
Increased import of construction equipment in large scales, including from Chinese companies, has affected the business volume of domestic companies. Competition among key domestic and foreign players is intensifying year-after-year. We hope that the government's Make-in-India mission would support the domestic players. Meeting emission norms, bridging skill gaps, and maintaining high safety standards are some of the other challenges being faced by the industry.

A platform of opportunities
We expect Excon 2017 to be a platform for showcasing our product range and reach out to customers in both organised and unorganised sectors. We expect to meet many domestic and global customers from neighbouring countries and promote the sales of our machinery. It is also a platform for the construction machinery manufacturers to get together and synergise the industry concerns with regard to regulatory and other common interests of CEMM manufacturers for the larger cause of the sector.

Showcasing innovation
In Excon, for the construction sector, we are planning to showcase our 22 ton class excavator BE220G with combi cooler (for exceptional performance under high ambient temperatures), and is built with positive control hydraulic system for ease of operation and excellent fuel efficiency.

We have developed The 100 hp class hydrostatic drive dozer BD50 HST, and is with exceptional manoeuvrability with power angling and tilting features, pivot steering and effortless operation through joystick. This advanced technology dozer features electronically controlled engine fully integrated with hydraulic system for enhanced efficiency and safety. We will be displaying this dozer at Excon.

We will also be displaying the newly developed BL30-1 wheel loader with state-of-the-art features. This loader is powered by a 230 HP electronically controlled BSIII emission compliant CRDI engine and electronic transmission for exceptional performance and efficiency. The hydraulic system consists of axial piston pump-based CLSS system for ease of operation and efficiency. Spacious and ergonomically designed cabin with user-friendly joy sticks ensure continuous operation without operator fatigue.

We will also be displaying our motor graders BG605I (145 hp) and BG405A(125 hp). The BG405A with BSIII compliant BEML engine, features 10 ft blade with optional scarifier and dozer blade and has a very tight turning circle radius for exceptional manoeuvrability. State-of-the-art digital display systems are provided for data storage and diagnostics.

The versatile BG605I is exceptionally stable grader with 12 ft blade and features hydro shift transmission for ease of operation. We will be showcasing laser-based levelling system for the grader, which will enable the users to maintain grading accuracy to the millimeter level.

Expectations
We expect to meet many domestic and global customers from neighbouring countries and promote our products. We also foresee increased participation from neighbouring countries.
