What are the new products you are showcasing at Excon 2025?
At Excon 2025, Wipro Hydraulics will present a comprehensive range of cylinders and components that highlight our diverse application expertise and engineering excellence. The showcase will include cylinders used in backhoe loaders, excavators, skid steer loaders, telehandlers, mini excavators, and 3-way tippers, along with models that demonstrate advanced surface treatment technologies, sensor-integrated solutions, and precision-engineered components.
We are also proud to celebrate the upcoming 50th anniversary of Wipro Hydraulics in 2026, an important milestone in our journey of growth, innovation, and global leadership.
How are your machines addressing the demand for efficiency, safety, and sustainability in India’s infrastructure growth?
We are continuously investing to eliminate potential quality issues in our processes and have adopted AI/ML technologies to enable that. Higher reliability is of paramount importance in ensuring the safety of operators. We have also launched sensors in our truck hydraulic product that prevents tipping of the equipment and thereby enhances equipment safety. Our innovative solutions have helped us reduce weight of our products and improve sustainability. We are also working on multiple energy-efficiency platforms in collaboration with our OEM partners and leading global universities. These technologies will be launched once they are fully field-tested. “Transforming lives through engineering” continues to be our guiding mantra at WIN.
With India focusing on mega infrastructure projects, how do you see the demand evolving for large vs. mid-sized/small equipment?
Our industry has an aspiration to be the second largest construction equipment market in the world by 2030. While we have seen softening of demand this year, the demand for equipment will increase given the infrastructure needs of the country. The strong demand for mining along with expansion of road network and other infrastructure projects will continue to fuel demand. The high quality and competitiveness of the equipment made in India will increase export sales. We, as Wipro Hydraulics, have consistently invested ahead of the curve to meet both domestic and global demand across equipment categories.
How are you incorporating digital technologies like telematics, AI, or automation in your machines?
We have introduced TipMatix in our truck hydraulics segment, offering users condition-based predictive maintenance capabilities. We are also adopting AI/ML technologies to improve quality and productivity in several of our manufacturing processes. We have invested in automation in our new plant at Jaipur that has not only built in additional capacity, but also achieved best in class quality levels.
What role does localisation play in your product strategy for India?
We have invested in localisation and have developed supplier base in the country to not only enhance our capability to localise, but also increase their export opportunity to our other plants worldwide.
How is your company addressing after-sales service and spare parts availability in remote project sites?
We have an established network that supports aftermarket service needs across India. We invest in their training needs, and this ensures reliable service availability even in remote locations. Our strong dealer network ensures availability of parts in the market place
