How important is the component industry for machine tool companies?
Auto component industry is very important for our business as we completely cater to it. Both local use and exports of the components increase the need for machining in India and this in turn results in demand for machines.

What are the requirements for component sector?
Machine tool requirements from the component sector depend upon the type of components. All metal cut parts require high accuracy and repeatability. Apart from accuracy and repeatability, customers also look for speed, flexibility and ease of operation.

What type of machines do you supply to your customers?
We supply twin-spindle CNC chuckers with gantry loader machines, which are used in turning operations. We emphasise on automation in turning.

Do you produce machines locally?
No, we do not produce any components locally. We are looking at localising some of the parts in the near future. We are also in the process of carrying out the engineering for turnkey processes in India.

What is the expected growth in your business?
We are looking at a year-on-year growth of 25 per cent for the type of machines we offer over the next five years. Growth in auto components is a must for our growth and any increase in volume would help us grow faster.
