We provide skilled operators for site operations
We have incorporated many USPs in our plants to make it safer, energy-saving and eco-friendly, says Sunny Singh, Director, Singh Cons?tru?ction. Excerpts from the interview with Equipment India.

What is the demand-supply scenario for batching plants in various segments?
The demand for batching plants is really good at the moment. The potential seems to be quite good in the days to come, too, and we have already started expansion to meet the growing demand from the market. Considering the market demand, mobile batching plants with capacity of 20-25 cu m are hot sellers now as they can be used both for concrete pumps and also for filling up transit mixers.

What is the potential from the RMC segment?
The growth potential for batching plants in the RMC segment is immense and this market is expected to grow all the more in the coming years. We see a good and boo?ming market ahead.

Which segment gives Singh Construction more business for batching plants?
Our main business comes from A-class and B-class con??tractors who need these mobile batching plants, spe?cially in the mid-range of 20 to 25 cu m/hr. The latest trend in this product line is that the client is focusing on higher output, compact design and comfortable pricing.

Tell us about the value additions.
We have incorporated many USPs in our plants to make it safer, energy-saving and eco-friendly. We have also added special features which reduce the repair time, ensuring minimum time loss to our clients hence inc?reasing output and decrea?sing breakdown time. Our new high-end panel is equipped with special features like resolving software issue through internet, no calibration required, rigid data base storage in detailed format, etc.

What is your take on competition in this segment?
Competition has become very tough. But I believe that the one with best pricing, quality and prompt after sales will emerge as the winner and that is what we are focusing on. We are expanding our sales and service network at a rapid pace to meet the needs of our clients and thus, increasing business.

What is your take on SMEs?
Everybody faces problems with unor?ganised players. But we have to deal with it as they control the major share in con?creting. We have started special training programmes for onsite people and operators to help and organise them properly. We also pro?vide skilled operators for site operation and site trai?ning.

What are the major challenges?
Logistics and taxation are other big issues which hamper the growth of the industry as they contribute to inc?reased pricing.

Brief us on the products and services.
We offer stationary and mobile batching plants with capacity ranging from 15 to 30 cu m/hr. We also provide training services at our unit and onsite training to opera?tors for a hassle-free operation of our machine.

What is the rental scenario?
The potential is good but slow at the moment. The rental market will improve in the future.

What has your performance been, in the last quarters?
Our last two quarters have been really good and we hope to cross our expectations in this coming fiscal.
