Zoomlion Expands African Operations to Boost Infrastructure
Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. has deepened its presence in Africa, opening a subsidiary in Casablanca, Morocco, to enhance local support for construction, transportation, port, stadium, and energy projects. The move aligns with China’s zero-tariff policy for 53 African countries and the upcoming China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Morocco in 2026.

Since entering the continent in 2007, Zoomlion has supplied construction, mining, and agricultural machinery to major projects, including Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, the Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project in Tanzania, N’Djamena Stadium in Chad, and Senegal–Mauritania’s Rosso Bridge. Its machinery also supports local farming and mechanization across Africa.

The new subsidiary aims to improve equipment availability, spare parts support, and on-site services while making Morocco a hub for North African operations. At the 2026 Expo, Zoomlion will present its latest flagship products and host seminars on smart agricultural machinery, precision operations, and remote maintenance.

In 2025, Zoomlion’s African revenue grew 157 per cent year on year, reflecting the strength of its localisation strategy and continued focus on supporting long-term infrastructure and regional development.
