Yanmar launches new product range
Yanmar has introduced a new range of wheel loaders and a 2-piece boom excavator at the NordBau exhibition.

Yanmar has launched two new product ranges recently, which include the model V7 and V8 wheel loaders and SV100 2-piece boom excavator. The models V7 and V8 were introduced at the NordBau exhibition. The new products complement Yanmar?s existing portfolio of hydraulic excavators. The new wheel loaders completely meet the market requirements: They combine ease of service and maintenance with eco-friendliness, high functionality and high performance.

In developing the new wheel loaders, quality was the key factor for Yanmar. The models V7 and V8 are driven by Yanmar engines, which are known for their reliability and low fuel consumption. Furthermore, only robust components from well-known suppliers were used. The V7 model with an operating weight of 4,100 kg offers a payload of 1,800 kg, the V8 model with an operating weight of 4,350 kg offers a payload of 2,100 kg. A powerful hydrostatic power unit ensures excellent traction and loading forces. Additionally, the models are available with an inch-break-pedal - this combination enables an ideal adjustment of performance between the power unit and the working hydraulics. Using the Z-bar concept allows a high break-out force.

The special structure of the rear frame and the engine mounted in line guarantee best access to all service and maintenance points. The hydraulic quick coupler combined with the standard working hydraulics system facilitates the use of different attachments. The operator can easily switch between standard bucket and pallet fork without leaving the cabin. The Minimess points to check the hydraulic components are easily accessible and included in the standard model. An articulated joint between the front and the rear frame combined with an oscillating rear axle offers very good stability while driving on uneven grounds. By additionally using a differential lock (only available for the V8 model), the operator can always optimise the traction force of the loader, even with the worst ground conditions.

In designing the driver?s cabin, Yanmar has focused on ergonomy and comfort. The cabin?s big glass windows offers a very good 360o view. The multifunctional joystick makes it easy to operate all driving and working modes simultaneously. A comfortable seat, adjustable arm rests and an adjustable steering wheel help preventing early exhaustion and thus contribute to the safety on the job-site. The SV100 2-piece boom (SV100 2PB) has high performance, unique design and ease of operation with a two-piece boom. The articulated boom configuration drastically enhances the performance of the Yanmar SV100 - particularly in lifting, moving and placing loads.

Originating from heavy wheeled excavators, the added articulation of the boom improves the maneuverability of the machine and its ability to place loads with precision. The additional weight resulting from the articulated boom configuration has been limited to 845 kg including the additional counterweight. It contributes to improving the machine?s lifting capacity by up to 45 per cent in some areas of the load chart.

Yanmar decided to reversely mount the cylinder of the boom articulation. Combined with high working pressure of the SV100 2PB, this furnishes the machine with outstanding break-out force. The orientation of the boom articulation cylinder also enables the operator to raise the boom faster and to lower it more slowly - optimal for positioning of loads. The Yanmar product development decided for a unique solution: The SV100 2PB is fitted with a single top mounted boom articulation cylinder. This configuration guarantees a total protection of the cylinder rod thus reducing the risk of damages. The machine?s maintenance has also been facilitated with reducing the number of greasing points by 50 per cent. All of this results in a reduction of the total cost of ownership (TCO) of about 50 per cent.

Furthermore, the use of a single top mounted articulation cylinder enables to reduce the machine?s dead weight by 50 per cent, thus improving the stability of the SV100 2PB. The very sleek structure of the boom provides the operator with good visibility - actually, with the best of its class in the market. In order to improve the operator?s comfort and the manoeuverability of the articulated boom, Yanmar decided to put the control for the articulation on the left joystick with a proportional switch. This also contributes to increasing safety with the help of very precise control.
