Designed in close cooperation with Hamm engineers based in Germany and Indian design engineers, the machine provides many design and technology features of the world-famous Hamm Series 3000 compactors.

The heart of the 11-tonne compactor is a powerful and highly durable fuel-efficient Cummins 4-cylinder diesel engine in line with BSIII emission norms.

Thanks to its 3-point pendulum articulated joint, the Series 311 compactor offers excellent driving and steering characteristics as well as directional stability. The innovative and self-levelling centre pivot assembly is based on three instead of four joints. This unique HAMM system guarantees unsurpassed directional stability and driving comfort.

Easy maintenance and long service intervals is the core of HAMM?s philosophy. The Series 311 compactor, with an engine hood that opens at an angle of 110?, offers excellent service access. The air ?lter and fuel ?lter cartridges can easily be changed by hand while a visual check of the radiator, the engine oil dipstick and the cooling water level are virtually child?s play.

A perfect visibility as well as optimised safety features are ensured on the operator?s platform. The Series 311 compactor provides unmatched all-around visibility, including a clear view of the drum and the tyres. This means the operator can keep his eye on the complete area around the machine.

HAMM offers 311 soil compactor as standard machine, 311 D is the drum drive version with an additional drum drive to achieve higher climbing ability of more than 30? to cater the requirement of steep terrain. HAMM also offering 311P, the pad foot version which used in the special requirement for cohesive soils.

The 311 versions features a dual, ie, high and low amplitude/frequency design which can be easily selected by operator from control panel. Dual amplitude gives versatility to adjust the drum force due to changing conditions and dual frequency allows better compaction due to changing soil types and conditions, which results in increased performance and versatility.
