BICES 2017 205-Day Countdown Ceremony
On February 27, 2017, February 2 in the lunar calendar, the traditional ?Dragon Head-Raising Day? when all things begin to grow up, the 14th Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition & Seminar (BICES 2017) ushers in its 205-day countdown, and all sponsors of BICES jointly organized and held the Countdown Press Conference in Beijing.
Over 40 delegates attended the Press Conference, including Mr. Qi Jun, Chairman of China Construction Machinery Industry Association, Mr. Su Zimeng, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of China Construction Machinery Industry Association, Mr. Han Xuesong, Honorary Chairman and Chief Advisor of China Construction Machinery Industry Association, Mr. Zhou Weidong, Vice-Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Machinery Sub-Council, leaders of organizers and management office of BICES, as well as representatives of mainstream media.
It is announced at the Press Conference that BICES2017 will be held in New Beijing International Exhibition Center on September 20-23, 2017.
At the Press Conference, Mr. Qi Jun pointed out on behalf of the sponsors that: since its establishment in 1989, BICES has been held successfully for 13 sessions in the past 27 years with the active participation of and great support from numerous construction machinery manufacturers, competent government authorities, industrial media, customers and all sectors of society. It can be said that BICES makes improvement with the emerging and development of the construction machinery industry in China, and witnesses leapfrog development and prosperity of the industry. For a long period, the sponsors actively grasp the development trend of construction machinery industry, understand the demands of exhibitors and visitors in depth, continuously improve the software and hardware conditions as well as the exhibition effects of BICES, and strive to build BICES a wind vane for the development of construction machinery industry in China and a major platform to exhibit construction machineries worldwide.
According to Mr. Qi, the products sales of the construction machinery industry rebounded stably since August 2016, the sales of 10 categories of major products witnessed an average increase of 10.2% , and the sales revenue of 12 enterprise groups closely related to the industry broke through RMB 255 billion (up 0.98% YoY) as of December 2016, though the construction machinery industry suffered the continuous market decline for nearly 5 years from the second half of 2011 to the first half of 2016. In January 2017, the sales of main products increased by 15% on a YoY basis. It is predicated that the construction machinery industry in China has entered the stable growth phase with stable and promising development.
It is thought by Mr. Qi that: most enterprises in construction machinery industry are expected to cease to lose and begin to turn out a profit, and turn the negative growth to positive growth with the rebound of the overall construction projects in China and continuous promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative. Stable development of the industry will surely play a positive role in holding BICES and encouraging the participation of exhibitors. Currently, the sponsors are making full preparation to present all exhibitors and visitors a better and higher level BICES 2017.
