Bosch, Brakes India and Wheels India form JV for CV air systems
Bosch Limited has joined forces with Brakes India Private Limited (BIPL) and Wheels India Limited (WIL), subsidiaries of the TSF Group, to establish a joint venture focused on air systems for commercial vehicles. The 50:50 partnership between Bosch and TSF Group companies aims to begin operations by the end of 2026, pending regulatory approvals.

The venture will specialise in engineering, manufacturing, and selling electronically controlled and software-driven modules, covering air compression, air processing, air suspension, and air parking brakes. Chennai will serve as the registered office, while the global supply chain will be jointly managed by Bosch, BIPL, and WIL.

“This joint venture marks a decisive step towards advancing intelligent air systems,” said Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of the Bosch Group in India and Managing Director, Bosch Limited. Sandeep Nelamangala, Joint Managing Director of Bosch Limited, added that the collaboration strengthens Bosch’s commercial vehicle motion management portfolio as the sector shifts to software-driven architectures.

Sriram Viji, Managing Director of Brakes India, noted that the company will leverage its pneumatic braking expertise to offer e-enabled air braking solutions, supporting OEMs in adopting electronically controlled and software-driven systems. Srivats Ram, Chairman & Managing Director of Wheels India, highlighted the company’s experience in air suspension systems and the opportunity to enhance electronic air suspension technology for global customers.

The boards of all three companies have approved the venture, positioning them to address growing demands for efficiency, safety, and automation in commercial vehicle systems.
