Chennai Port-Maduravoyal expressway sees revival
All decks have been cleared under PM Gati Shakti to revive the stalled Chennai Port-Maduravoyal Elevated Expressway for boosting Chennai’s infrastructure. The 20.6 km double-decker elevated corridor will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 5,770 crore.
State Minister of Finance, PalanivelThiagaRajan, told the media that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) would be closed between the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Tamil Nadu government, Navy, and Chennai Port for implementing the Maduravoyal-Chennai Port Elevated Corridor.
He said that the government is committed to reviving and implementing the Maduravoyal-Chennai Port Elevated Corridor project, which is vital to the commercial development and infrastructure of Chennai.
