Doosan launches three Dash-7 wheel loaders for US
Doosan Group has launched the latest new models in bucket sizes from 2.6 cubic yards on the DL200-7 to 3.3 cubic yards on the DL250-7. Doosan product marketing manager, Aaron Kleingartner, told the media that the company had upgraded the performance on the dash-7s from the dash-5 loaders, with larger bucket capacities, more durability, stronger axles, and more powerful powertrains.
The cabs are roomier and more comfortable, which include a new Doosan Smart Touch 8-inch touchscreen monitor and Doosan Smart Key to allow the loader to start without a key in the ignition. It can operate on transparent bucket technology where the operator can see on a monitor what is on the other side of the bucket.
The loaders include a Z-bar link. The parallel linkage of the two tool carrier models will be designed for lifting and placing objects, with fork-type attachments, instead of digging and moving material. The standard Z-bar models can be equipped with Doosan buckets like general-purpose, heavy-duty, light-duty, and rock buckets.
The windows and door now come down to the floor for improved visibility. The heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) unit has been moved from the rear side where it was taking up cab space, now will create more room in the cab.
Other features are a rear-view camera and a more ergonomic arrangement of switches and controls. Doosan product specialist, Bill Zak, said that the product is designed to be easier to operate, even for a less experienced individual.
The loaders are equipped with Doosan Smart Guidance to match engine output to conserve fuel. While the machine is operating, pop-ups will appear on the touchscreen, like hitting the brakes too hard based on the conditions. It will give the operator an efficiency score and show what could be improved.
