Genie SX-150 boom lift in India
The new Genie½ SX-150 boom lift offers impressive outreach.
ABC Infra Equipment has taken delivery of India's first Genie® SX-150 boom lift with platform height of 46.33 m (152 ft) and lifting capacity of 340 kg (750 lb). The Genie SX-150 was handed over by Eglin Gary Scott, Senior Service Manager, APAC Genie USA to Praveen Sharma, Managing Director, ABC Infra Equipment. The company, which is a member of Crane Owners Association of India and Aerial Platforms Association of India, anticipates demand from applications at large industrial plants along with general construction and maintenance, in shipyards and refineries. Sharma said, 'This will further strengthen our fleet of ultra-booms. While 90 per cent of our boom lift fleet is from JLG, we have added a few big booms from Genie in the last three years. Having attended the Conexpo show in Las Vegas earlier this year, we got great insights about the quality products made by Genie and hence we decided to go ahead with the purchase.' He adds. 'Customer demand for boom lifts with working heights over 40 m has increased substantially in recent times. In order to meet this demand, we have opted for the Genie SX-150, as it offers 48.33 m (158 ft) working height and 24.38 m (80 ft) outreach and impressive 21.34 m (70 ft) of outreach at 36.6 m (120 ft) platform height.'
