Gmmco, Caterpillar launch Workshop-on-Wheels to serve remote locations
The vehicle has been designed keeping in mind safety and utility for ensuring optimum service capability.
Gmmco and Caterpillar India have always been pioneers in bringing high-end products and best-in-class product support to their customers. In continuation of this history of providing customer delight, Gmmco has come out with a Workshop-on-Wheels (WoW) vehicle to serve its customers even in remote locations.
Speaking at the launch, V Chandrashekar, Managing Director and CEO, Gmmco, expressed, “Our priority has always been the customer. We want our customers to be delighted with their experience with Gmmco and Caterpillar. We always value customer satisfaction over revenues. Workshop-on-Wheels is but one more step in a series of steps that we are continuously taking to enhance customer satisfaction.”
Prashant Bisen, Senior Vice President, Construction Industries, Gmmco, said, “We are expanding our product support offerings every year. Earlier, we had Parts-on-Wheels and now we are offering Workshop-on-Wheels. The WoW will take us closer to our customers and will serve as our gateway to reach our customers in remote locations. The vehicle is equipped to do all the services to our customers.”
The Workshop-on-Wheels vehicle has been mounted with all the tools and implements necessary to carry out service at our customer’s locations. Some of the key features in the Workshop-on-Wheels vehicle include a workstation for holding parts and carrying out minor jobs, in-built compressor for pneumatic tools, diesel power generator for electric power, welding equipment, toolboxes and kits and storage spaces for parts and lubes. The vehicle has been designed keeping in mind safety and utility for ensuring optimum service capability. The Workshop-on-Wheels will carry an expert engineer and fitter-cum-driver to customer locations. Gmmco plans to launch a fleet of Workshop-on-Wheels vehicles across multiple geographies in the coming months.
Caterpillar leaders including Mani Rajan, District Manager, Caterpillar India, and Mukul Dixit, Sales and Marketing Director, Caterpillar India, were also present during the event.
