Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative Limited (IFFCO) bought a Liebherr LR1400/2, 400 tonne capacity crawler crane for its Kalol unit. Liebherr India organised a handover ceremony when Ajay Kumar Somani, Director, Liebherr India handed over the key of the crawler crane and a memento to Shamsher Singh, Executive Director of IFFCO Kalol Unit in presence of IFFCO?s senior executives.

Recently IFFCO came out with a requirement of a 400 tonne crawler crane and Liebherr won the tender through an elaborate evaluation system. Liebherr LR 1400/2 was fulfilling the work requirement. Liebherr?s offer was techno-commercially accepted by IFFCO and order was placed on Liebherr in first week of December 2015.

The crane was shipped from Germany in May 2016 and reached IFFCO Kalol site in the start of July 2016. It has been assembled and commissioned within 10 days by Liebherr India?s expert service engineers. Also during this period training was given to IFFCO operational and maintenance staff by Liebherr India service engineers.
