Italian crane manufacturer Ormig has introduced a new indoor electric crane model 55/60iE. This crane is specially designed for handling work indoors and in areas with reduced space. The maximum lifting capacity is 60 tonne and it is powered by electric battery.

Short overall dimensions - 2.35 m height, 2.35 m width and 24 tonne weight without counterweights - mean that the crane can be transported on a truck without special transit permits, all over Europe, according to the company.

The maximum lifting height is 13.5 m with 8.5 m outreach. It also has a small turning radius because of the 90o rotation of the rear wheels. The accuracy of the steering is obtained by kinematic mechanism, an Ormig patent. Hydraulic and mechanical fly jibs of various dimensions and lengths can be fit to the crane. The 55/60iE is certified for road travel.
