Re-defining Productivity
Marini users confess one thing - Marini is an absolute delight to work with. Project managers like Ganesh Rao, operating a Marini in Kolkata, has been facing tough weather conditions ever since they commenced their project. The annual precipitation range, due to heavy rains has been around 925 mm. Rao opines, ?With project durations cut short due to weather conditions, we are forced to utilise every good sunshine and clear sky.?
?Forcing us sometimes to run our Marini with very high content of moisture in the virgin aggregates, we have run our Marini up to a maximum of 11 per cent moisture content without any fuss. The plant is a production monster, normal asphalt plants would have started coughing up at moisture contents as low as four per cent; however with the Marini we really push the limits very high, and easily break our own records, says Naren, plant engineer at the Kolkata site. He adds, ?Producing over four to six different kinds of mixes every day, with consistent quality and almost zero wastage is astounding at our Kolkata site.?
Productivity
?We do not supply a fit-for-all plant to our customers, and that explains the success of the Marini,? avers Blesson Varghese, Managing Director, Marini India. ?On one hand, we have extremely wet conditions, and in other parts of India, we have extremely dry and highly dusty environments, with dust contents extremely high. Each of these extremes need quite a good balancing in design, which is a challenge very well mastered by Marini engineers. Some extreme sites like those in Rajasthan have broken every known record for performance and productivity,? Varghese adds.?
Agrawal, operating few Marinis at the Rajasthan site says, ?We installed a Marini along with another brand of plant at one of our projects. Within less than 30 days of running our first Marini, we moved our entire load of project production from the other plant on to Marini. ?
?The benefits of operating a Marini plant were so evident. More than the cost of operations, which was over 25 per cent less, the productivity and mix quality was absolutely great. We were easily churning out 2,500 tonne per day, just with one single plant,? says Raman, Plant-in-Charge. He adds, ?We have clocked over 99 per cent uptime and in less than an year, produced close to 350,000 tonne of high quality mix and our efficiency is a record 1.5 litre per tonne, which is better than other brands.?
Service support
?All equipment needs service and attention. We had some bitter experiences in the past with other brands, and were a bit sceptical with our first Marini. One expects a multinational brand to offer only expensive service, however with our Marini experience, we are spending less compared to other brands. We are extremely delighted with Marini?s service,? says RL Kashyap, Vice President. He tops up with this, ?High plant uptime with a very good quality service, delivers a very high level of peace of mind, which is extremely important for us at the management helm, to focus on important things, like getting more business.?
?Focus is what makes Marini stand apart from all other brands. Each plant is so meticulously followed up, and with a very well planned and customised service programme, we are absolutely delighted with the performance of our plant,? reveals Prashant Kanade.
On-time service assistance, prompt support and use of modern technology assisted service ensures top notch performance, says Soundarrajan. He adds, ?We are committed to the performance of our equipment and that?s what makes us Marini.?
Profitability
Technology plays a very important role - technology not just in plant construction but in each component function. ?Our Marini has helped us amazingly,? says Digvijay Singh, who operates a Marini in Gujarat. Bitumen accuracy, screening and sorting, along with drying and mixing, each function of the hot mix plant works flawlessly on the Marini. ?We have benefited greatly from many of these Marini features, quite unheard on other brands. Delivering for us, prompt completion of projects, almost zero wastage, very high efficiency and low production costs.?
