We are introducing new-gen concrete solutions

Parminder Gabri, Director Commercial, Putzmeister

What are the new products you are showcasing at Excon 2025?

At Excon 2025, we are introducing an entirely new generation of concrete solutions built around what our customers need most, higher performance, smarter operation, and greener construction. Visitors to the Putzmeister Booth OD 61 will experience a future-ready lineup designed to deliver greater productivity, stronger durability, and intelligent machine behaviour across diverse job-site conditions.

How are your machines addressing the demand for efficiency, safety, and sustainability in India’s infrastructure growth?

  • Efficiency, safety, and sustainability are the pillars of our product design philosophy.
  • Efficiency: Our pumps and mixers deliver higher output, optimised fuel consumption, and superior reliability, ensuring faster project cycles and reduced downtime.
  • Safety: We incorporate advanced monitoring systems, automated controls, and ergonomically designed operator interfaces to enhance job-site safety and reduce human error.
  • Sustainability: With India moving toward greener construction practices, our electric pumps, hybrid boom pumps, and energy-efficient systems offer significant reductions in emissions, noise, and overall carbon footprint.

Our machines are not just built to meet India’s growth pace; they are built to elevate it responsibly.

With India focusing on mega infrastructure projects, how do you see the demand evolving for large vs. mid-sized/small equipment?

India’s infrastructure pipeline now includes some of the world’s largest railway, metro, expressway, and many other infrastructure projects and developments. This shift is increasing demand for high-capacity, high-reliability equipment, especially large boom pumps, heavy-duty stationary pumps, and high-volume batching plants.

At the same time, the rise of urban redevelopment and tier-II/III city expansion continues to drive strong demand for mid-sized and compact equipment capable of manoeuvring in congested environments.

We see both segments growing, but with a clear tilt towards productivity-driven solutions that deliver consistency, safety, and efficiency, irrespective of size.

How are you incorporating digital technologies like telematics, AI, or automation in your machines?

Digitalisation is central to our product roadmap. We are integrating:

  • Digital platforms for real-time equipment health monitoring, utilisation analysis, and predictive service alerts.
  • Automated controls that improve pumping accuracy, reduce wastage, and ensure consistent concrete quality.
  • Intelligent diagnostics supporting faster troubleshooting and optimised maintenance cycles.

These technologies reduce unplanned downtime, enhance safety, and significantly lower total cost of ownership for our customers.

What role does localisation play in your product strategy for India?

Localisation is a strategic priority for us and a key enabler in delivering value to Indian customers. By localising critical components, engineering, and manufacturing:

  • We achieve cost competitiveness without compromising quality.
  • We ensure faster delivery cycles for machines and parts.
  • We customise equipment to suit Indian concrete grades, climatic conditions, and job-site challenges.
  • We support the nation’s “Make in India” vision in a meaningful and scalable way.

Our localisation strategy is not just operational; it is a commitment to being a long-term partner to India’s infrastructure growth.

How is your company addressing after-sales service and spare parts availability in remote project sites?

Service reliability is one of our strongest differentiators. We have built a robust national network of 45+ Service locations, five service centres, 23+ parts warehouses, onsite parts and service support that ensures:

  • Rapid response through strategically placed service engineers and mobile support units
  • Availability of high wear and critical spares through regional hubs and authorised partners
  • On-site training for operators and technicians to improve machine uptime

Whether the project is a remote tunnel, a mountain corridor, or a metro site within a dense city, customers rely on Putzmeister for consistent support and unmatched reliability.

What are your growth priorities for the Indian market in the next three to five years?

Our priorities are aligned with India’s infrastructure and industrial growth trajectory:

  • Strengthen our leadership in concrete pumping technology, especially in high-capacity and sustainable equipment.
  • Accelerate adoption of electric and hybrid solutions to support India’s green construction ambitions.
  • Expand our footprint in tier-II and tier-III markets, where mechanisation is growing rapidly.
  • Enhance digital service offerings to make fleet management smarter and more efficient.
  • Broaden our lifecycle value proposition, including refurbishments, long-term service contracts, and operator capability building.

We are committed to driving both volume growth and value-based growth through innovation and customer-centricity.
