Tata Hitachi wins big at 12th BKT Equipment India Awards 2024
Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery bagged as many as four awards during the 12th BKT Equipment India Awards held on 10 October 2024 at Jio Convention Centre, Mumbai. The four awards include Green Factory of the Year, Best After-Sales Service Provider and Bestsellers in Crawler Excavators and Mini Excavators categories.
The awards were handed over by Pratap Padode, Founder, First Construction Council and Vipin Sondhi, Chairman, RAHSTA Committee and former MD and CEO of JCB India and Ashok Leyland.
Held as a part of the India Construction Festival, the 12th BKT Equipment India Awards 2024 marked the convergence of industry stalwarts and leading construction equipment manufacturers, as well as components, accessories, spares and hardware companies, all united to acknowledge and celebrate the excellence and innovation within the construction equipment sector.
The Equipment India Person of the Year 2024 award went to Jaideep Shekhar, Managing Director, Terex India, for the company’s impressive growth under his strong leadership.
Some of other winning companies included Schwing Stetter India, Sany Heavy Industry India, Ammann India, Schwing Stetter India, Caterpillar India, Action Construction Equipment; BEML Limited, Doosan Bobcat India, LiuGong India, AJAX Engineering, Case Construction India, etc.
The jury members, comprising industry leaders and experts, played a crucial role in selecting the deserving winners. The jury members for the 11th Equipment India Awards included: Ashok Chhajer, Senior General Manager - OE Sales, Balrishna Industries; Atasi Das, Assistant Vice President, GR Infra; Sameer Malhotra, Director & CEO, Shriram Automall India; Seshnath B, MD & CEO, Walvoil Fluid Power India; SP Rajan, Head-Plant & Machinery, L&T Construction; Sudhir Hoshing, Joint Managing Director, IRB Infrastructure; Ratan Lal Kashyap, President – SCM, Dineshchandra Agrawal Infracon; HS Mohan, Ex-CEO, Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council; and Shyam Gyanani, Director, Trident International.
This year, the selection process for the winners was characterised by transparency and integrity, as the jury diligently reviewed the findings presented by First Construction Council in its Construction Equipment Data Report 2024 and by Equipment India. The availability of equipment sales data from relevant companies for the financial year contributed to this transparent process.
